Priscila’s Trauma-informed yoga teacher training was a completely transformative experience that supported my lifelong journey of self-exploration and healing. When Priscila introduced her yoga training for the first time in 2019, it was during a time before we knew what was to come with COVID. However, the tools of resolving trauma and holding space to do so was laid out so beautifully and intentional. Priscila’s training helped me understand trauma from a decolonial lens and how to hold a safe space for people curious about movement and relieving discomfort. Her training has helped me help my people by becoming a community resource. Thank you for all that you do Priscila

I took Priscila’s Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training in 2021 during the pandemic, a time when I was navigating many transitions in work and life. The space Priscilla provided was exactly what I needed to help my body heal. I looked forward to our meetings every other weekend, as the training was holistic and deeply supportive. It went beyond the philosophy of yoga, incorporating community connections with other practitioners and grounding practices rooted in holistic and indigenous wisdom. Priscila is an excellent practitioner with a background in counseling and therapy, and I deeply appreciated the perspective she brought to the training. The most impactful part of the training was how everyone’s individual experiences and viewpoints came together to create a sense of renewal and unity. It was truly my favorite part of the experience. For anyone seeking a grounding and transformative training, I highly recommend this program. The group of students became like family, fostering a profound sense of community that carried me through a very challenging time in life. This experience not only deepened my understanding of yoga but also left me feeling more connected, inspired, and whole.

A few years ago I desired to deepen my knowledge of healing and find embodied practices that I could incorporate in therapy. Yoga has helped me find healing and a better connection better my mind, body, spirit, and emotions so it was an easy decision to look into certification. I wanted to honor yoga in its cultural context, learn about trauma informed practices for my clients, and find a teacher who cares about decolonizing healing practices. I saw Priscila’s class through a popular latine ig page that was supporting small business during the pandemic. I had a lot of peace moving forward with her class. The cohort style teaching was very intimate and allowed space for questioning, exploring, and learning about the elements of yoga. We also did movement but that was not the focus. I also learned so much about plant medicine and the different types of yoga. I now teach yoga in the Central Valley and I am grateful I had a teacher who prepared me to create a safe space for folks to want to t practice yoga and not hyper focus on postures. I am grateful I have many new students who are trying yoga for the first time in my class.

I want to share the wonderful memories i have of when I initially embarked on my 200 hr YTT during fall of 2019. The materials & lectures were well organized & easy to follow. The reading was very specific to each week’s class lectures & modalities. Priscila was very mindful in providing us with hands on and practical workshops such as holistic health, meditation, sound bath, and trauma informed yoga plus more. The most rewarding part of this journey was understanding that we all had our own unique experience & that there is still much more to discover within ourselves & the journey. Very grateful for the experience.

I waited and searched for FIVE YEARS for a YTT that would be a healing experience, that would be affordable and accessible to me as a working mother, that respected the cultural traditions of yoga, that interrogated the ethics of the western practitioner's relationship with yoga. In 2019, I went through YTT with Priscilla and it was all that and more! I cherish the connections forged over those months with our cohort. The seeds of the teachings shared in this training continue to take root and blossom in my life and enrich my contributions to those around me. Highly recommend!

My experience taking Priscila’s Yoga Teacher Training was wonderful, it was the type of training I was looking for and so much more. I really wanted a training that did not culturally appropriate, would share more than just the asana practice, and would do it with the focus of community strengthening and building. I was able to learn so much about myself, my ongoing yoga practice, and more than anything ground in community. We dove into the yoga pillars, Learned the asanas, and how to intentionally share with others. I still carry all the lessons Priscila and other guest teachers shared with us, when I am practicing myself and teaching others. I especially take all that was shared when approaching teaching in a trauma informed lens, I think that with that lens I am able to create a welcoming space to be non judgmental, curious to self explore, and more than anything safety to breathe fully. Investing in this 200YTT offered me so many connections with others, strengthened my own connection to self, and to my yoga practice. I really encourage anyone that is interested or hears the call to do this- its An investment for life and for a better quality of life.
